Delivering residential packages on Sunday can accelerate transportation on most airlines by a day or two, an advantage that is particularly valuable for shippers and consumers of healthcare and perishable goods. FedEx Ground has reached more locations faster than UPS Ground.

During the recent holiday season, FedEx Ground began delivering residential packages on Sundays.

Subramaniam added, "In the past peak season, delivery seven days a week was crucial to our success, as we experienced some of the busiest days in the company's history, including shipping nearly 38 million packages on Cyber Monday alone.".

During the holiday transportation peak, FedEx Ground's number of FedEx door-to-door packages in December increased 42% year-on-year, and nearly 8 million FedEx door-to-door packages were delivered on Sundays between Black Friday and Christmas Eve. Despite a record number, nearly 18% of FedEx Ground packages were delivered a full day in advance. once again, FedEx Ground maintains year-round transportation time standards throughout the holiday season, setting higher standards than our main competitors.
